The Bertram Art, Herb & Wine Festival celebrates local artisans from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 8, in downtown Bertram. The Bertram Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual event and has lined up more than 50 vendors selling a variety of items.
You might even find that perfect Mother's Day gift. (Reminder: Mother's Day is May 9, the day after the festival.)
The Highland Lakes has become a destination for wine lovers. So many wineries and vineyards dot the landscape that it's difficult to visit them all, but you can sample several of them in one day at the Bertram festival. Winery booths will have staff on hand to answer questions and help you make a selection.
You can also try local craft beers, including from the San Gabriel River Brewery, the festival's featured beer provider.
The event also includes live music. Pauline Reese takes the stage from noon to 2 p.m. followed by the Oatmeal Sound Company from 3-5 p.m.
