The preparation for the 28th Annual Ponca City Herb Festival is underway to be hosted on Saturday June 5th, 2021 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm come rain or shine. On that Saturday, more than 80 ven
On that Saturday, more than 80 vendors from several states bring their goods to be offered for sale at the beautiful 10-acre Cann Memorial Botanical Gardens. While featuring native and exotic plants and herbs, other gardening related items are available. Guests can find primitive birdhouses, yard and garden ornaments, furniture, stoneware, glass garden creations, and other unique garden related gifts.
Don’t forget to bring your wagon because the event will also showcase handmade jewelry, Oklahoma t-shirts, pickles, home sewn items, quilts, herbal vinegars and oils, special seasonings & spices, handmade candles, baskets, soaps and so much more.
With Covid-19 restrictions being lifted we will see some familiar faces returning for the annual event. Suzi Lenhart of Miss Suzi’s Singing School will return at Noon on Saturday afternoon. Grab a snack from the food vendors and take a break on the patio while listening to some great music. The Kay County Master Gardeners are back with their ‘Plant a Plant’ booth for children. Children are encouraged to learn about the joys of gardening with the making of almost 500 planted pots.
Be sure to check out all of the other ‘Batty’ festivities in beautiful down town Ponca City. There will be food trucks, an audience-participation performance of the Batman TV series, an evening concert and dance at the City Central Courtyard and other fun activities all weekend long as part of the Gotham Comes to Ponca cultural celebration.
The Ponca City Herb Festival is hosted by and benefits Survivor Resource Network. SRN is the community resource and response agency for Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking and Trafficking Survivors.
