A handful of businesses in Fayetteville’s Trailside Village will host a fundraiser for a new medicinal herb and native plant garden this weekend.
Yarb Apothecary, Biodesic Strategies, the AM/PM bar, and others will host fundraiser on Saturday, April 17 from 1-8 p.m. for the new community garden ‘permaculture’ project to be located on the Trailside Village grounds.
The event will feature music by Kalyn Fay, KRis Mastin, and Jude Brothers at Back Space, along with a pop-up market, herbal mocktails, free snacks, and an educational booth about the project.
Vendors at the pop-up market include Postal Planet, Bandana of the Month Club, Rose Home Co, What Have We Vintage Glassware, Biodesic Strategies, and Cheanie Maria Noai.
It’s a ‘bring your own lawn chair’ event, and social distancing and masking will be required.
There’s a $5 recommended donation for entry, which will also enter you into a raffle for prizes.
Proceeds from the event will help pay for the new garden, part of a larger project called Eco-Archipelago: A Network of Community Forest Gardens that aims to create food-producing edible landscapes in place of more ornamental landscape designs.
